Terms and Conditions for Treatment
-
The Pet Physio can only treat animals after Veterinary consent has been received. This can be by a Vet referring to The Pet Physio or by The Pet Physio obtaining consent on behalf of the Owner.
-
Where possible, consent forms should be received at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
-
Whilst every care is taken to ensure the safety of animals undergoing treatment, all animals undergo Physiotherapy at their Owner’s risk.
-
In the event that a Physiotherapy session cannot proceed due to the animal requiring reassessment by the referring Veterinarian, the session will be curtailed, and The Pet Physio reserves the right to charge up to 50% of the usual rate.
-
Missed appointments or those cancelled without 24 hours’ notice will be charged for.
-
Sessions must be paid for in full following receipt of the invoice, within 7 days.
-
The Pet Physio reserves the right to cancel any session (e.g., due to power failure, maintenance, or illness) and will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment. To this end, please ensure your contact information is up to date.
-
Animals cannot be treated if suffering from gastric illness, or fleas.
-
Please ensure that your animal is clean and dry prior to treatment (as is reasonably possible).
-
The Pet Physio reserves the right to refuse treatment of any animal.
-
Please inform The Pet Physio of any change in your animal’s condition or any additional medication or illness.
-
Please keep your animal under control before and after treatment.
-
Please do not feed your animal 3 hours before treatment (treats are fine, as is grazing/hay).
-
Please ensure your animal has emptied their bowels before arriving as far as possible (except horses). A surcharge may be made where cleaning is beyond that reasonably expected.
-
Children must be kept under careful supervision and ideally not present during treatment. The Owner remains responsible for the welfare of their child(ren). The Pet Physio cannot be held liable for any accident or injury.
-
The Pet Physio cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles, buildings, or personal property during the entirety of a Physiotherapy session.
Vet Consent Form
UK Law states that animals must be treated under Veterinary referral and consent.

This is a very simple process and happens in one of two ways:
1. Your Vet may either recommend The Pet Physio and refer proactively,
2. Or you can ask your Vet to refer your pet for physiotherapy, by asking them to complete this simple form and emailing it to hello@thepetphysio.co.uk.

Once the form has been received by The Pet Physio, we can arrange physiotherapy appointments.
